Footnote to Howl was supposed to be on the LP record but because of side timings and sound quality the track had not been released. You can find on this album good takes from those songs which has been selected through huge audio files of Outtakes because of the permanent recording of every session in good sound quality. The sessions took place at abstract soundscapes studios and we have recorded almost every song many many times during our rehearshall where the epic improvisations took place and give birth to instant songs.

This albumm is supposed to be the last Outtakes album as the band disbanded in 2007 for mainly jobreason & now we are geographicly quite far away anyway & unable to work on sound as we should sent VST tracks thru web etc didn t work 'epistolaire' composition) so this is the last album of Outtakes still unofficially unreleased & will never appear on MP3/FLAC B4 (see end) so a impossible-to-produce-cost-effective-ID came to me as divided the carefully chosen track by the band almost i-don t-know-how many-versions to listen to the i-don t-know-how-many-hours of tape recorded as we usually launch recording on most of the session...which give us an incredible amount of tape...MD / DAT / DG masters and so on so it might take the form of a triple LP if you respect the sheetlist of and time lenght and also tracklisting, a huge project we are not able to produce now but that is scheduled for 2014 - a 10" w/ the two improvisation each side clocking at 10min approx - a double sided 12" which include the beguinning of the CD 'mexico' for jack kerouac + brume static (alternate , time of execution 7 min) and on side B G sunset on the interzone by Burroughs/Out//takes - and a single sided 12" for an early version of 'mexico' that rocks of all being under the 20 min/side to have correct sound quality consideration

“Here is a live performance by Outtakes recorded during a festival in southern France. Outtakes performs its classic repertory with tunes like Brume Statique and Mexico City Blues all recorded live in great mobile fidelity showing the band in their athmospheric rock compositions touching ambient moments and develloping a huge song made of their five composition without a break. This CD-R hadn't been released as well through the abstract/concrete catalog. We find it pretty cool to make it available through this Media Archives section of the website regarding the fact that those are very rare recordings and the only performance recorded to tape by Mat who play the guitar while riding the faders onstage.The sound here is clean and gorgeous, the recording catch Outtakes at the top of their artistic creations. The live sets a vibrating audience into trance induced material and this live event still one of the most sucessful concert in terms of people present at the show, offering sensitive moments and building improvisations into the set with its influences close to 70's rock and classic alternative rock, while setting up moments of slow burning process with noise explosions and melodic and harmonic moments. A Note On the Sound Recording

“This LP was a stereophonic adventure like a long daydream with many lows in the production which had been priceless to us.But the LP remain very interesting concerning music and sound, the track that we put on the records are really great to us and still very good music even few years afterwhile. We pressed the LP in 33 rpm by ourselves with Abstract Sound Recordings, we collaborate on this occasion with great mastering engineer in Canada. The record has been pressed regarding quality standards such as DMM mastering and the pressing is limited to 500 copies. The sound is warm and athmospheric catching Outtakes at the top of their art, at this particular time where the sound hit a kind of density filled with sensations catched on tape on instant weirdo improvisation where tones were sounding like something in grace with a quite static sound. Launched around 2002 the band put his last record companion on the web i.e. the unreleased Side 3 downloadable. Enjoy the tracks. So this stricly limited edition of very reasonnable outtakes songs as well in the textures and the lenght, catching the band at its highest musical devellopment.”
